That year, hotels in the popular Dutch destination recorded approximately 1.9 million domestic travelers. Rotterdam and The Hague followed in the ranking in 2023, with 733 thousand and 648 thousand domestic hotel guests, respectively.

Guest includes: visitors who stay for one or more nights in an overnight accommodation; visitors who stay for multiple times per month in the same or different accommodation.
Guest does not refer to: visitors who stay for more than two months at a time in overnight accommodation. Asylum seekers and seasonal employees are not taken into account.
