Passenger-distance of domestic flights in Japan 2014-2023
In 2023, Japanese air carriers realized a passenger-distance of approximately 98.52 billion passenger-kilometers on domestic lines. The figures recovered considerable from the COVID-19 pandemic-induced slump. Domestic air passenger transportation in Japan is dominated by the two major airlines Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, as well as their respective subsidiaries.
