Manufacturing firms accounted for the highest share of industrial and logistics real estate transacted in Germany in 2023, at over 40 percent. That includes any space that is newly rented or purchased during the period. Manufacturing took the second spot, with 29 percent, while wholesale and retail occupiers took up 29 percent. In 2023, the Ruhr region was Germany's biggest market, with the most industrial and logistics space taken up.
