Take-up of logistics real estate in Germany 2014-2023

Take-up in the logistics real estate market in Germany declined for the second year in a row in 2023, after peaking at over nine million square meters in 2021. At 6.3 million square meters, the volume of industrial and logistics real estate transacted in 2023, saw a decline of 2.3 million square meters year-on-year. Berlin was the region that saw the most significant change in demand.
