From a level of 101.2, it dropped to 96 in October 2022, before increasing since, reaching 99 in May 2024. An increasing inflation spurred by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and then the Russian invasion of Ukraine, both had a significant negative impact on the global economic situation.
