This statistic shows the share of loans which are non-performing from banks in the Benelux countries in the 1st quarter of 2016. Of the Benelux countries, Belgian banks had the largest share of non-performing loans. Almost 3 percent of their total loans were non-performing.

The source uses the definition of the European Bank Authority for non-performing loans. It states these are loans for which: "1) payments are overdue for more than 90 days, or 2) it's unlikely the debtor will fulfill his requirements without a certain guarantee or other types of securities."
