GB: Facebook Messenger app downloading 2014, by gender

This statistic displays the findings of a survey on the share of individuals who downloaded the Facebook Messenger app in Great Britain (GB) as of April 2014, by gender. The survey gathered data from 624 British adults of age 18 and older who were aware of the Facebook Messenger app. During the survey period, it was found that 39 percent of female respondents reported that they had downloaded the Facebook Messenger app prior to the survey period and 54 percent of male respondents stated that they did not download the Facebook Messenger app on any device. When looking at the age groups of the respondents, it shows that the younger people were, the more likey they had downloaded the app. The total number of Facebook users in the United Kingdom was projected to reach 41.37 million in the United Kingdom by 2021. Facebook's digital advertising revenue was estimated to have amounted to approximately 842 million British pounds in the United Kingdom in 2016.
