From 2009 to 2017, the total employee income of the Serie A soccer league in Italy rose overall. In 2009, it amounted to approximately one billion euros. In 2017, this figure rose to 1.2 billion euros. Similarly, the total employee income of the Serie B league increased, reaching 190 million euros in 2017.
