In financial year 2020, Sydney was the most popular city to be visited by international travelers with around 59 million nights spent in the city in that financial year. Melbourne was the second most popular destination at almost 50 million nights, whereas Tropical North Queensland, which includes the Great Barrier Reef, attracted just over 5 million visitor nights.
