The statistic represents the results of a 2016 survey about U.S. respondents' attitudes towards ridesharing. The results were broken down by age. Some 56 percent of respondents aged between 25 and 34 said they were considering ridesharing, including services offered by Uber or Lyft, as an alternative to driving.

MIT AgeLab, and New England University Transportation Center websites.
