The cinema reach in Norway experienced an all-time low in 2021 when 42 percent of respondents said they had gone to the movies during the 12 months prior to the annual survey. Three years earlier, in 2018, the share surpassed 75 percent. Despite the overall decrease, Norwegian women went more to the movies than men.
