In 2022, Germany's consumption of biodiesel for transport purposes stood at around 2.2 million metric tons, making up the largest share of biofuels consumed. Biogasoline and biogas fuel consumption increased with some oscillation, amounting to 761 and 91.3 kilotons of oil equivalent, respectively during the same year.
