In 2023, approximately 930,000 barrels of oil were consumed daily in Malaysia. This was an increase from the volume of consumption in the previous year, which was at 837,000 barrels per day. Malaysia's oil consumption saw a significant decrease in 2020 and 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
