Export value of salmon from Norway 2010-2023
From 2010 to 2023, the export value of salmon from Norway grew, starting with around 31 billion Norwegian kroner in 2010. As of 2019, it reached nearly 73 billion Norwegian kroner and peaked at roughly 122 billion Norwegian kroner by the end of this period. From 2010 to 2023, Norway’s export value of fresh or frozen fish increased as well.
Sweden’s trade in salmon
In recent years, the value of whole salmon or salmon in pieces imported into Sweden fluctuated. It reached the highest level in 2022, when the import value was roughly 232 million Swedish kronor. By comparison, the export value peaked at nearly 160 million Swedish kronor that same year.
Denmark’s trade in salmon
When looking at Denmark’s international trade in fish, the country imported fresh or chilled salmon valuing at more than three billion Danish kroner in all years from 2016 to 2021. In this period, the country’s export value increased from roughly 1.6 billion Danish kroner to approximately 3.2 billion Danish kroner.
