The sample is derived from all German-speaking persons older than 14 years who have their main residence in Germany.

2012: 27,104 respondents, projected to 70.21 million people
2013: 25,677 respondents, projected to 70.33 million people
2014: 25,363 respondents, projected to 70.52 million people
2015: 25,140 respondents, projected to 69.24 million people
2016: 23,854 respondents, projected to 69.56 million people

Information on the target group "Persons who made at least one vacation trip in the last 12 months":
2012: projected to 39.81 million people
2013: projected to 40.77 million people
2014: projected to 41.69 million people
2015: projected to 41.60 million people
2016: projected to 42 million people
