In 2022, the highest value of total insurance premiums among Latin American countries was recorded in Brazil. That year, total insurance premiums amounted to more than 60 billion U.S. dollars. Mexico and Puerto Rico followed, with approximately 33.5 billion and 19.1 billion U.S. dollars in total insurance premiums, respectively. The Brazilian insurance industry also reported the highest financial result in the region that year.
