Latin America: ratio of life insurance premiums to GDP 2019, by country
Chile was the Latin American country with the highest ratio of life insurance premiums in relation to the gross domestic product (GDP) in 2019. That year, life insurance premiums written in Chile accounted for 2.84 percent of the country's GDP. Meanwhile, in Haiti, they amounted to only 0.05 percent.
