At one euro and 28 cents per cubic meter, it provided the cheapest drinking water in the country. By contrast, people paid PWN almost one euro more per cubic meter of water used.

The Dutch drinking water industry produced roughly 1.2 billion cubic meters of water in 2018. 370 Million liters were produced by Vitens, the largest water producer before Brabant Water and Evides Water Bedrijf. The production of WMD Drinkwater, the smallest of the drinking water companies in the Netherlands, was roughly one tenth of this, at 35 million cubic meters.

In 2018, the total revenue of the drinking water industry in the Netherlands was nearly 1.4 billion euros, or almost double the revenue reached in 1990. In terms of revenue, the leading companies in this sector were Vitens (turnover of 335 million euros), Evides Waterbedrijf (203 million) and PWN (171 million). WMD Drinkwater closed this ranking as well, with a revenue of 30 million euros in 2018.
