Sales revenue of domestic recorded music in Denmark 2009-2020, by format
In 2019, streaming music media was the most valuable domestic recorded music format in Denmark. The sales revenue amounted to 180 million Danish kroner. In the past years, the sales of music streaming highly increased. In 2020, this number increased to 244million Danish kroner. In comparison, as of 2012, this format generated a revenue of 48 million Danish kroner. However, the sales from downloaded music media decreased to only four million Danish kroner in 2019. Physical media was the second most valuable domestic format in Denmark that year.
