As of 2023, Ousmane Dembélé's move to Barcelona remained the Bundesliga's most expensive transfer, with Borussia Dortmund receiving 135 million euros for the French international back in 2017. The highest fee paid by a Bundesliga club was 95 million euros, paid by Bayern Munich to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.
