The value of Canada's mining assets located domestically amounted to a preliminary figure of nearly 106 billion Canadian dollars in 2022. That same year, nearly 71 billion Canadian dollars worth of Canadian-owned mining assets were located in South America, thus it was the region with the largest share of Canada's mining assets abroad. Oceania had the lowest value of Canadian mining assets that year, worth 6.1 billion Canadian dollars.
