*Due to the Corona crisis no more spectators were allowed inside stadiums starting March 9 of the 2019/2020 season. Therefore, deviating from earlier years, the average number of spectators up until the 25th day of matches (March 9) is depicted.
**Figures are rounded. Numbers before the 2009/10 season show the average number of spectators per season. . Absolute spectator numbers were collected from 2007/08 on, before only the number of sold tickets was included. Figures until 2016 can be accessed at the website of the DFB. Relegation matches weren't included.
