As of November 2021, a large group of respondents in Italy would vote for PD (Democratic Party) or Lega if elections were held today. More specifically, 21 percent of interviewees declared to vote for PD, whereas the share of voters of Lega added up to 18.8 percent. Furthermore, some 18 percent of people would vote for Fratelli d'Italia or Movimento 5 Stelle, respectively. However, over 40 percent of respondents were either not sure about their voting intention or would not vote at all.
In January 26, 2021, Italy's Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte resigned as a result of an escalation of political instability in the country. Since February 2021, Mario Draghi is the Italian Prime Minister.
