Most innovative companies in the German car industry in 2014

According to the source, the base for defining the innovation capacity was composed of data about research and development, internal operating figures, patent figures as well as industry related and economic factors from the past decade. * The total score displayed in the statistic was made up of results from singularly weighted categories, which are as follows: investments (weight: 20 percent); innovation performance (35 percent); innovation efficiency (10 percent); quality (20 percent); continuity (10 percent) and internationalisation (5 percent). Within the separate categories the score numbers result as follows: the company which scored highest in a single category receives 100 points. The points of the other companies were calculated proportionately in relation to that.
