In 2024, Equinor was the highest-valued Norweigan brand with a brand value of over 178.67 billion Norwegian kroner. Telenor ranked second with a brand value of nearly 34.68 billion Norweigan kroner. 

Norway's giant energy company: Equinor

Established in 1972, Equinor is a state-owned energy company based in Stavanger, Norway. As of 2023, the company ranked among the leading oil and gas companies worldwide, with a global revenue of over 113 billion U.S. dollars. In 2022, Equinor's crude oil sales volume stood at 334 million barrels, down from 358 million barrels in 2021.

Norway’s leading telecommunications company

Founded in 1855, Telenor ASA is a majority state-owned telecommunications company based in Fornebu, Norway. The company started its business as a provider of telegraph services and as of 2023, ranked among the leading telecommunications companies worldwide by market capitalization at 15.52 billion U.S. dollars. To maintain this status, the company continues to spend heavily on advertising. In 2022, the Norwegian telecommunications giant spent 146 million euros on global advertising to promote its products and services. The respective figure stood at over 152 million euros in 2021.
