With 365 square kilometers, Mjøsa in eastern Norway is the largest lake in the country. It is located around 100 kilometers north of the Capital Oslo, with the towns Lillehammer, Hamar, and Gjøvik located at its shores. Norway's second largest lake is Røssvatnet in northern Norway, followed by Femunden.
