In 2022, the most common breast cosmetic procedure performed was breast augmentation at almost 77 thousand procedures. There were also over 24 thousand breast reduction surgeries that year. With an estimated 1,550 plastic surgeons, Germany was the 10th highest on the list of countries with highest number of plastic surgeons in the world.
