This statistic displays the share of businesses that were aware of the Cyber Essentials scheme in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2020, by size of business. A total of 13 percent of all UK respondents were aware of the Cyber Essentials scheme, of which ten percent were aware among micro firms.
Cyber essentials was a government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organizations improve their cyber security.
As a result of this survey, the cyber security initiatives and standards were still not widely known in the United Kingdom. Initiatives and standards such as the Government's 10 steps guidance and the ISO 27001.
