Turnover catering services in the Netherlands 2011-2016

This statistic displays the turnover of the catering services in the Netherlands from 2011 to 2016 (in thousand euros). It shows that in 2016, company catering amounted to roughly 730 million euros in the Netherlands. In the same year the institutional catering and school catering reached roughly 82 and 75 million euros respectively. When comparing it to the year of 2011, the institutional catering showed an increase of approximately 17 million euros, whereas the school catering had an increase of roughly five million euros.
When looking at one of the neighbor countries of the Nertherlands, Belgium, the number of catering companies was developing year by year. Between 2008 and 2016, the number of catering companies grew from roughly 4,450 in 2008 to 5,600 in 2016, an increase of approximately 1,150 catering companies.
