As of the fourth quarter of 2023, 87 percent of Norwegians between 50 and 59 years were Facebook users, making this demographic the country's largest audience for this social media platform. The usage rate of people aged 60 years and over was 82 percent. Younger people used Facebook less in recent years, while older generations are adapting to it and using it more. Regarding usage frequency, the majority of Facebook users engaged with the platform on a daily basis.
