Confirmed errors in treatment in medical interventions in Germany as of 2023

In 2022, 49 tooth extraction errors were confirmed, as well as 84 errors relating to the implantation of a knee joint prosthesis. Most errors were reported when implantation of a hip joint prosthesis at 104 reported mistakes.

In total, over 8,177 medical errors were reported in inpatient care in 2023.
