In 2022, theaters across Denmark sold more than 9.89 million movie tickets, of which nearly 3.72 million (or about 37 percent) were purchased in the country's Capital region. The Central region accounted for 2.15 million ticket sales (or around 21 percent) of the total that year. Denmark's box office revenue grew by 52 percent in 2022.
