GOL Linhas Aéreas: passenger traffic 2011-2021
The number of passengers transported by GOL Linhas Aéreas was around 19 million in 2021. These figures had declined by more than 50 percent in 2020, which reflects the severe crisis of the global travel industry caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the years prior to the pandemic, the Brazilian low-cost airline boarded more than 30 million passengers each year, and even reached nearly 40 million in 2012 and 2014.
