In 2022, 23 percent of households with more family nuclei were living below the poverty line, 3.6 percent less than in 2021. The incidence of absolute poverty in Italy remained relatively stable between 2021 and 2022 for couples having from one to three children. The figure grew instead by 1.8 percentage points among households with single parents.
