This graph shows the results of a survey carried out by Mining Journal about the biggest threats to the so-called smart mining era. During the survey that was carried out in the second half of 2015, 64.8 percent of respondents (comprised of 120 of the world's largest mining companies) said that under-investment or inadequate investment was the biggest threat to the so-called smart mining era. Smart mining refers to the use of various emergent technologies to improve efficiencies and safety in the mining industry.
