Natural gas is the most used fuel for combined heat and power in the United Kingdom since 2015. As of 2019, the UK's natural gas usage in cogeneration amounted to some 63,863 gigawatt hours. In the period of consideration, coal, blast furnace gas and coke oven gas use decreased while renewable fuels use increased.
