Share of online purchases in Denmark 2023, by region of seller and gender

In 2023, the vast majority of men (90 percent) and women (89 percent) in Denmark bought their goods over the internet from domestic merchants. Gender differences were not significant regarding shopping in Danish webshops, but men chose webstores outside of the EU more often (46 percent) than women (33 percent). When it came to online stores outside the EU, eight percent of shoppers were female, while 19 percent were male.
