The number of mammographs in Slovenia declined to 30 mammographs in 2022. Therefore, 2022 marks the lowest number of mammographs during the observed period. Mammography is essential in the fight against breast cancer, the most prevalent type of cancer among women. Many countries around the world introduced breast cancer screening programs to be able to detect the disease as early as possible, with mammography machines being one of the most important tools.
