In 2021, the most commonly used 3D printing technology was fused deposition modeling (FDM)/fused filament fabrication (FFF), with 71 percent of respondents utilizing this technology in house. Selective laser sintering (SLS) was the second most commonly used technology in 2021, with 42 percent of respondents adopting this through external services.
