Hospital beds in Estonia 2002-2021

The number of hospital beds available in Estonia saw no significant changes in 2021 in comparison to the previous year 2020 and remained at around 5848.67 beds. But still, the number of hospital beds available reached its lowest value of the observation period in 2021.
Total hospital beds include all occupied and unoccupied beds in hospitals which are available for admitted patients, and regularly maintained and staffed. They include such beds in general hospitals as well as in specialized hospitals. On the other hand, provisional and temporary beds as well as beds in nursing and residential care facilities are excluded.
