Respondents knowledge of antibiotics in Denmark in 2018

This statistic displays the results from a survey on the level of knowledge of respondents regarding antibiotics in Denmark, in 2018. The majority (51 percent) of respondents believed that the false statement that antibiotics kills virus was true. 80 percent of respondents also believed that the false statement that antibiotics are affective against cold and flu, was true. The majority also believed in the true statements about antibiotics, such as unnecessary use makes them inefficient (94 percent) and that taking antibiotics often has side-effects, such as diarrhea (69 percent).
