Pemex's petrochemical imports 2009-2022
Imports of petrochemical products by Petróleos Mexicanos, commonly known as Pemex, reached 374 thousand metric tons in 2022. The petrochemical product imports by Petróleos Mexicanos increased by nearly 12-fold between 2013 and 2019, reaching 877 thousand metric tons in the latter year. In the following years, however, imports plummeted, dipping below 350 thousand tons in 2021. Meanwhle, Pemex's petrochemical exports amounted to some 110 thousand metric tons in 2021.
