The projected consumption volume of whey powder in the European Union was forecast to increase between 2023 and 2033. This overall increase does not happen continuously, notably not in 2025. After the eighth consecutive increasing year, the projected consumption volume is estimated to reach 1.6 billion tonnes and therefore a new peak in 2033.
