Hotel occupancy rate in Dublin 2011-2018
Dublin hotel prices continue to rise
As occupancy rates rise, hotel prices in the city are expected to follow suit. The average daily hotel room rate of Dublin hotels was predicted to increase to 147 euros a night in 2018. Naturally this also has a positive impact on the revenue per available room (RevPar) which was forecast to amount to 123 euros.
Is tourism from the UK declining?
Despite growth in the Irish tourism industry, arrivals of tourists from the UK showed a small decrease in 2017. Great Britain and Northern Ireland are among the main inbound markets visiting Ireland, along with the United States. Spending of visitors from North America and mainland Europe is increasing, helping to balance the impact of any further decline in UK tourism.
