COVID-19 in Sweden
A major factor that influenced companies all over the world to start promoting home office at the beginning of 2020 was the coronavirus. The first case of the coronavirus in Sweden was reported in February 4, 2020. The cumulative number of cases has been increasing since then, hitting over 85 thousand in the second half of August, 2020.
Remote working
Looking up remote working on search engines has boomed during the pandemic in 2020, peaking in mid-March. The search interest has decreased afterwards, but still remains significantly higher than pre-corona. 1105696 A survey conducted in another Scandinavian country, Norway, shows that over 40 percent of Norwegians considered themselves to be slightly less efficient when working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to before. However, nearly half of the survey respondents stated to be more or equally efficient in the new work setup.
