In 2023, there were just above two million of flight hours performed by the main Canadian airlines, representing an 18 percent increase compared to the previous year. Over the period given, the number of flight hours overall increased until 2019, before decreasing due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the following years, this figure started increasing again.
