The data only represents figures for the participating TV channels, those are: La Une, La Deux, RTL-TVI, Club RTL, Plug RTL, AB3, Bel tv, MTV, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Canal Z, National Geographic and Radio Contact. Furthermore, the figures only show TV programs that last longer than 15 minutes.
Since January 1, 2006 the market share is calculated based on the total amount of TV watched excluding the use of peripherals such as a DVD player.
Since January 1, 2013, Live+6+guests is the new standard. Live+6 means the live watching of TV and the postponed watching until six days after the program was originally broadcast.
The source divides Belgium into North Belgium, Flanders and the Dutch-speaking parts of Brussels, and South Belgium, Wallonia and the French-speaking parts of Brussels.
* 1,500 families take part in the panel, approximately 750 families for the North part of Belgium (Flanders and Brussels) and 750 for the South part of Belgium (Brussels and Wallonia), and they make up a panel of about 3,700 people. In the homes of every family an audiometer or a viewing meter is installed and registers the TV behavior of the individual family members.
