The share of the population with high blood pressure in the Netherlands saw no significant changes in 2023 in comparison to the previous year 2022 and remained at around 15.2 percent. Still, 2023 marked the third consecutive decline of the share.
The source adds: 'percentage of persons aged 12 years and older who answered 'yes' to the question: 'Have you suffered from hypertension in the last 12 months?'. Until 2010, the percentage refers to the total population, under the assumption that younger people do not have high blood pressure.'
