Air Canada: fuel consumption 2011-2023
In the fiscal year of 2023, Air Canada used approximately 47.5 billion liters of fuel for flying operations. This represents a 17 percent increase compared to the previous year. In 2022, fuel consumption increased by more than 90 percent. The aviation industry is recovering after the severe effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The companies needed to stop their operations due to the border closures and governmental interventions to emit the spread of the virus.
