According to a survey of 2019, bars were the most popular places for having lunch out of home during weekends in Italy. As reported by the data, approximately 40 percent of respondents claimed to have lunch at bars during weekdays. By contrast, interviewees who had lunch at ethnic restaurants consisted of 8 percent of all respondents.
